Father’s Day 2020 is a Father’s Day Like No Other and Consider Gifts Like No Other Year

We are in the midst of once in a century and half century traumatic events. There are protests in the street after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Our country continues to exhibit institutionalized racism, another plague which should be immediately addressed. We are in the sixth month of dealing with a Covid-19 pandemic. We are staying home and social distancing and not able to join together safely for anything. Father’s Day will be a long distance celebration for many.

Looking for ideas for Father’s Day 2020, many were the typical, but more acknowledged the difficult and different of times were are now living through. Many are unemployment and many are struggling.

Acknowledging those less fortunate, first consider a donation to a local charity in honor of the father in your life or in memory of a father or grandfather no longer with us.

FIND TOP RATED CHARITIES ON CHARITY WATCH

We all want to make sure our charity dollars actually go to those in need. Charities included on the CharityWatch Top-Rated list “generally spend 75% or more of their budgets on programs, spend $25 or less to raise $100 in public support, do not hold excessive assets in reserve, have met CharityWatch’s governance benchmarks, and receive “open-book” status for disclosure of basic financial information and documents to CharityWatch.” htHere are some suggestions that relate to the times in which we are living.
