Grandpa and I were talking about cookies. We were just back from seeing the grandchildren, and “cookie” is a big part of a grandparent’s vocabulary when grandchildren are around.
GG (great grandmother) always brings Publix chocolate chip cookies as her signature “gift” for her great grandchildren. Remember, for this Grandma, it is M & Ms, so I try to find M & M cookies for the grandchildren. But, these are store bought, and home made are the best.
This Grandma takes a short cut for fast warm chocolate chip cookies with the Toll House refrigerator dough. Toll House on line even makes it easier by having the grandchildren press the dough in a pan or our first pizza cookie found at Very Best Baking website.

With the youngest grandchildren, this grandma starts with refrigerator dough. They have such satisfaction in “baking” their own cookies. But having refrigerator cookie dough in the house at all times for a quick fix is always a good idea. With older grandchildren, remember to cover the kitchen with old towels for easy cleanup. Everything at grandma’s house, including baking, is no work and all fun and
