Forbes Magazine had a tweet August 14, 2015, about the 2015 top 25 innovative consumer products. This Grandma was curious. Included in the list are mattresses, breweries and beer, and mostly organic food and drink. Here are the consumer products that caught this Grandma’s eye:
Number One is a product we Grandmas should pay attention to:
“4moms”
“4moms incorporates robotic technology into baby products, including a baby seat that bounces and sways like human parents. Reported annual revenues of approximately $50 million.” See picture here.
The Mamaroo is the product pictured in the Forbes tweet. However, the company makes
strollers, play yards and more. The Mamaroo you should be looking for is the 2015 version that even comes with an infant insert.
Jessica Alba has hit paydirt with Honest Co. Products for our grandchildren. The Honest Company sells shampoos, diapers, wipes, and even fruit drinks.
“The Honest Co.”
“Cofounded by actress and mother Jessica Alba in 2012, the company achieved $150 million in sales in 2014.”
According to Wikipedia, “The Honest Company is a consumer goods company, co-founded by actress Jessica Alba, that emphasizes non-toxic household products to supply the marketplace for ethical consumerism.” The Honest Company sells shampoos, wipes, and even baby food and fruit drinks.
A product I first saw at a skinny friend’s home made the list. She swears by it. You guessed it–skinny food, this time, skinny popcorn. Buy it in bulk on Amazon.
“Skinnypop”
“Amplify Snack Brands, parent company of SkinnyPop, IPO’d on Aug 5, 2015 at a valuation over $1 billion.”
Coconut is the thing this year. I find these wonderful. Try them too.
“Dang Foods”
“Dang’s GMO-free coconut chips that have generated a feverish following among foodies and non-foodies alike.”
My oldest daughter is hooked on cycling classes. This Grandma, not so much. But cycling seems to be a hit in 2015:
“Soulcycle”
“SoulCycle has opened 41 workout studios in the U.S. since 2006.”
This Grandma has been reading about these home food delivery companies that send a recipe and ingredients and one has made Forbes’ list. On Amazon, the reviews are fair and prices expensive, but take a look.
“Blue Apron”
“Only three years young, Blue Apron already ships over one million meals every month”
Knowing that green tea helps weight maintenance, this company caught my eye. It gets five stars on Amazon and is nearly sold out.
“Teatulia”
“A certified B-Corporation, Teatulia operates a tea garden in Bangladesh–one of the largest in the world.”
One of this Grandma’s favorites, high protein and high fiber bars made by Quest, made the list. This Grandma likes the chocolate brownie but other flavors are great too.
“Quest Nutrition”
“In only three years, Quest has grown its revenue from $143,853 to $250 million.”
Yes, it is interesting how natural and organic is now what is considered most innovative and is becoming most popular.
Try some of the above. They belong on the best of 2015 list.
Joy,
Mema
