July Fourth Celebration For Grandchildren

It is not a mistake that this post is called July Fourth celebration FOR Grandchildren rather than WITH grandchildren. Summers are times for vacations and summer camp and schedules may not allow us to be with our grandchildren for a July Fourth celebration. Sleep away camps no longer allow packages, and somehow this Grandma believes the two foot square package I sent weekly might have had something to do with the ban!

But, this Grandma is creative and loves shopping, so first here are some July Fourth celebration gifts for the grandchildren in sleep away camp that will fit in an envelope with a note or letter. We can send them to grandchildren not in sleep away camp too.

Patriotic Temporary Tattoos

Yes, they come in packages of 72, but send a few envelopes full for the entire bunk. And 72 cost less than $6.

Glitter ones can be found at Amazon.

Glow in the dark ones can be found at Amazon.

For those grandchildren home, there are more options:

Funny Patriotic shutter shading sun glasses, a dozen for them to share with friends for less than a dollar apiece at Amazon.

Similarly, a dozen Patriotic star necklaces, although the princess grandchildren might want to keep all of them and not share at Amazon.

T-shirts

There are lots of Patriotic, red, white and blue t-shirts for boys.

For girls, even Disney themed, at Amazon

And for babies at Amazon.

Books

For school aged children, “The Fourth of July Story” at Amazon.

Red, White and Blue” for early readers at Amazon.

“The Night Before Fourth of July” is a great picture book for our little grandchildren at less than $5 at Amazon.

And for the toddlers, there is a Board book, “Corduroy’s Fourth of July” at Amazon.

Patriotic Wrapped Candy

Of course, there are candies wrapped in Patriotic wrap, Tootsie rolls.

Hershey’s Kisses come in red, white and blue patriotic wrapping at Amazon.

And so do M & M’s here.

CD

And to teach the grandchildren the American patriotic songs, “Stars and Stripes Sing Along” at Amazon.

Happy July Fourth and God Bless America!

Joy,

Mema
